YouFirst Financial Inc. is committed to protecting our clients’ privacy and the confidentiality of their personal information. The measures we take to fulfill these obligations are:

  • We ask our clients for only necessary personal information. The “Know Your Client” information we request is only the information we need for regulatory and income tax requirements (name, address, contact information, birth date, social insurance numbers, asset holdings and values, investment knowledge and objectives, spouse’s name and occupation, and children’s and dependants’ names and ages).
  • We limit access to clients’ personal information. We record clients’ personal information electronically on computer servers to which only authorized employees have access, and only by means of secure passwords. Access to clients’ personal information is only on a “need to know” basis. Backups of our server data are stored offsite and are password protected. Paper copies of clients’ personal information are kept in locked filing cabinets.
  • If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below
  • When you Contact us through the Site, we will maintain your Contact Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
  • We prevent unauthorized disclosure of clients’ personal information. We prohibit disclosure of any client’s personal information to any third party without the client’s explicit consent. YouFirst Financial has adopted the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct of the CFA Institute. “Preservation of Confidentiality” is described in section E of “III) Duties to Clients” in the Standards of Professional Conduct. We shred paper documents containing clients’ personal information before discarding such documents. We delete electronically-stored personal information that is no longer required for contractual or regulatory purposes.
